Mateo Miramontes
Mateo is a co-founder of Winning Edge Baseball with a passion for teaching the game of baseball to young players who are hungry to be their best. Mateo is the current head baseball coach at Monte Vista High School.
Mateo grew up in Danville where he was a standout pitcher for Monte Vista and helped his team win the 1998 NCS champions as well as an undefeated 2000 league championship. Mateo attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned a Freshman All American award before being drafted in the 6th round of the 2003 MLB Draft by the New York Mets.

Luke Cherry
Luke is a co-founder of Winning Edge Baseball with experience coaching at all youth levels.
Luke was a standout at San Ramon Valley High School where he led his team to a 1999 NCS championship. Luke then went to Chabot college where he had a Hall of Fame career before heading to East Carolina University where he played for legendary coach Keith LeClair. After ECU, Luke became a scout for the Tampa Bay Rays before moving back to the Bay Area.

Steve Friend
Steve Friend is a co-founder of Winning Edge Baseball and development consultant. He is currently an assistant coach at Indiana Wesleyan University and former head baseball coach at Chabot College where he had a historic career leading the Chabot Gladiators.
Steve built a reputation as an excellent developer of baseball players through his obsession to detail in his training scripts. He has helped a tremendous amount of players reach their potential. Steve’s legendary coaching career followed a successful baseball career where he played at San Jose State University.
